Branding

Hotel Godin is a historic hotel in Montreal located in a building with a vibrant and decorative interior design style. It is known as one of Canada's first residential Art Nouveau buildings, designed by Joseph Arthur Godin.

For the rebranding, the goal was to modernize while retaining the historical integrity of the hotel. The ultimate direction reflects a mid-century modern aesthetic; a functional design style defined by sleek minimalism and organic shapes.

Transparent Material
Transparent royal blue acrylic is the signature material used for the hotel props and merchandise. This element is a minimalist and elegant spin on the style of Art Nouveau, a nod to the historical legacy of the building.
Motif

The shape of the motif is inspired by the arched entrances and windows that is seen in the original historical building of the hotel. The motif is designed simple and easy to modulate across products for an elegant feel. The shape can be used in repetition or by itself while not appearing too "busy."
